One pulse estimate is a number. Context makes it a record.

MonoPump uses the iPhone camera and flash for a short guided pulse estimate, then helps you save the moment, compare similar readings, and keep the history on your device.

MonoPump descriptive trends built from saved readings

We built MonoPump around a simple observation: a pulse reading is more useful when you can remember when it was taken, what you were doing, and how the signal looked. A number after exercise is not directly comparable with a number after several quiet minutes. Saving that context is more honest than turning every reading into a score.

How the camera estimate works

Place your fingertip gently over the rear camera and flash. As blood moves through the fingertip, the camera observes small color changes. MonoPump analyzes that changing signal and produces a pulse estimate after the signal remains stable long enough.

The app guides camera coverage, lighting, movement, and signal quality during the session. The result includes the estimate, session duration, and confidence information so a weak signal is not presented as if it were a strong one.

The design principle

MonoPump shows what the camera observed and keeps the interpretation restrained. It does not turn a camera estimate into a diagnosis, risk score, or unsupported prediction.

Save the moment, not just the BPM

After a session, you can label the context before adding the reading to local history:

History and trend screens can then compare like with like. MonoPump uses descriptive summaries such as averages, ranges, and recent changes. These summaries organize saved observations; they do not make medical conclusions.

Private by default

Pulse history and profile data stay on the device. MonoPump does not require an account and does not operate cloud storage for measurements. Camera frames are processed for the estimate and are not saved as photos or video.

When you want a personal copy, the app can generate PDF, CSV, JSON, Excel, or Data Report files locally. Nothing is shared until you choose a destination through the iOS share sheet.

Built for more than one profile

Separate profiles let a household keep individual histories on one device without creating cloud identities. Each profile keeps its own readings and context. The interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, with multiple visual themes and Reduce Motion support.

What MonoPump does not claim

MonoPump is a personal wellness log, not a medical device. It is not designed for:

  • Diagnosis, screening, treatment, or emergency decisions
  • Clinical monitoring or replacing a validated medical instrument
  • Apple Health synchronization in the current version
  • Drawing conclusions from a single camera estimate

Movement, finger temperature, camera coverage, lighting, and device conditions can affect a result. If you have symptoms or concerns about your heart health, use appropriate medical equipment and contact a qualified healthcare professional.

Why launch it as a paid app

MonoPump is a one-time paid download with no subscription. The product does not need an advertising profile, cloud account, or recurring plan to function. That model matches the product: a focused tool that lives with the data it helps you record.

MonoPump 1.1.0 is available now.

Use your iPhone camera for guided pulse estimates, add context, and keep a private local history.
